Hey, you might have noticed I went on a long unexpected hiatus from blogging, and let me explain it for a bit.
Summer was quite eventful. I was lucky enough to travel to Mykonos with my friends. I already published 2 pieces about that:
Several weeks after that I stumbled upon some health issues. My usual set of heavy vertigo that knocked me out of normal life for a while. Almost made me miss my long-time planned family holiday to Mallorca, but luckily I was able to get well enough to travel so more articles about Mallorca soon.
Then my good friend had a wedding, dad had a birthday so I kept traveling back and forth between the states.
After that busy summer, I started to deal with my health problems, which are much better now but it takes time still. My blogger life had to be postponed due to that and so many work-related issues. Pharmacy life has been crazy, people are super sick and I swear people get ruder every single day so I had zero energy to write anything. Not that I didn’t want to.
I was just exhausted from working non-stop, taking extra shifts cuz we’re understaffed, taking more responsibility, dealing with more and more… I was overwhelmed.
My body got exhausted as well. I kept getting a little cold and flu from time to time, never healing it properly, still working cuz let’s face it I’m a workaholic who compensates crappy personal life with a successful work one.
And you know how it goes: If you don’t pick a day to relax your body will pick it for you.
Now my body made me stop, as once again it escalated into 2 weeks knockout with plenty of health issues. Cough, cold, fever, chills, chest pains, breathing problems, etc. Not covid though, once was enough for me- 10 days with Covid.
It was a cry for help and I promised myself I’m gonna make some changes…
Besides for almost the first time, I’m really looking forward to more personal life because of the good people I have met.
I’m gonna be bold enough to make a new years resolution already with a month and a half advance. From now on I’m not gonna put work first anymore and I’ll find time to relax and not feel guilty about it. I’ll work on my time management and find time for my hobbies, including writing more articles.
Thank you for being patient with me.
Here is to taking it easy and doing what I love again and more frequently.
See you soon.
