A couple of days ago Netflix released its new action thriller movie titled 6 Underground. What makes this movie interesting is the glorious cast. 6 Underground stars Ryan Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins, Ben Hardy, and Dave Franco. Good ones right?

The movie is exactly what you would expect from a movie starring Ryan Reynolds.

Spoiler Alert!

The dark and twisted, situational humor is deeply associated with Ryan Reynolds and the characters he plays. This time he plays a billionaire who tries to save the world by eliminating the bad guys himself. For this purpose, he found himself a group of talented people and they all have one thing in common. They are all technically dead.

All of their horrible actions and gentle comedy are set to the perfect soundtracks throughout the whole movie. I liked the sort of GoPro view during Ben Hardys aka four aka Billie’s parkour scenes. It just didn’t fit right to the whole concept. Could have been better edited.

I ain’t gonna lie. Ben is the reason I watched the movie.

I totally forgot when is the movie airing and only my fellow Ben Hardy thirsty ladies reminded me by making him trend on Tumblr. Seriously the amount of 6 Underground fanfiction that came to life in just a few days is astonishing. No one works as hard as fanfiction writers.

My unhealthy obsession with Ben Hardy started when I say him in Bohemian Rhapsody and I talked about it in my Bohemian rhapsody is a masterpiece article. Back then I was tracking Bens’ work on the movie that made him miss most of the Boh Rap movie promo. Now I have finally forgiven him.

What a surprise it was for me to see my favorite Franco brother staring in the 6 Underground. Only for a short while. But still. He was truly memorable and that doesn’t usually happen with characters that are there just to get killed off at the beginning.

Overall, the movie was nothing special. Easy watching. A lot of things didn’t make any sense. Like dude that is not how cars crash. They don’t just shatter into million pieces. I get it was for the drama but it was way over the top. Or like with the Five. Yeah, she’s a doctor that did a doctor thing that one time and the beginning of the movie. But she didn’t get any backstory whatsoever. That’s just lazy.

I feel like 6 underground didn’t reach its full potential.

The acting was incredible. The story is just ok.

The movie set the ground for future sequels but nothing has been confirmed yet. I think it would be extra difficult to find time for a sequel in that many famous actor’s schedules.

The critiques came out hard for this movie and for once I’m not totally opposed to what they’re saying.

But still, it’s ok.

The cast is good to look at. You’re gonna have some disturbing laughs and by the end, you’ll be more of a sucker for Ben Hardy. What else could you want from a movie?
