10 March 2019 is the day we’ve all been waiting for since what feels like forever – aka American season 2 premiere.

Well if you’re not familiar with the brilliancy of the show feel free to check out my previous review of American Gods on my blog.

A rough description of the show based on bestseller novel by Neil Gaiman: Gods are real and are living among us and are having a crappy time. There are Old Gods and there are New Gods growing up in America and they don’t get along very well.

If you’re past the first season you might know the basic: The war is coming in season 2 of American Gods.

The first episode of the second season of a well-expected show is up on Starz titled:

HOUSE ON THE ROCK.

Spoilers ahead cuz I’m just super excited about what I just witnessed.

Besides a simple recap of what happened in season one, the first episode opens up with the New Gods. We see technology itself, better known as Technical boy sass technological device GPS and it was so amusing for me. Great opener.

Made me homesick – as I realized how much I missed the Gods – and relieved it’s finally up. Technical boy has to be my favorite character (I wonder what that says about me) and to see his bitchy face (God bless you Bruce Langley) and to hear his rude tongue again made it worth the wait. We see Mr. World plan revenge against the Old Gods and sending Tech Boy out to find Media before the show focuses on our Old dudes.

Odin, Leprechaun, ex-con, and a dead wife are road tripping to House on the Rock. Sound like a beginning of a lame joke. We meet other Gods waiting as my favorite Mr. Nancy portraying by Orlando Jones. I wish everyone would tell stories like him. Beautiful Yetide Badaki aka Bilquis is hot as ever and questioning everyone’s sexuality (looking at you Laura Moon)

We rode the Carousel and that was for me personally the scene I was expecting the most in this whole show. Book made my imagination run wild in this scene and I was not disappointed by TV shows interpretation of God’s meeting. Divine scene with incredible effects.

One of the best features of the show besides perfect details and visuals is the music. I want to congratulate whoever chooses music for American Gods on a good job. The first thing I did after watching the first episode (well besides writing this review) was putting on Shazam and finding out the songs from the episode. And I never do that so that really says how good the music was.

The first episode of American Gods season two is beyond my high expectations and I’m so thrilled for next. There are 7 more episodes in the second season to go and it’s been so long since I’ve been this excited for something.
